Entry
According to the terms of the visa exemption agreements signed between the Chinese government and other countries, individuals who are eligible for visa exemption, as well as holders of valid permits for foreign nationals or permanent residence permits, are permitted to enter without the need for a visa.
Accommodation Registration
Foreigners residing or staying in accommodations other than hotels must register with the local public security authorities within 24 hours of check-in. The registration process must be completed by either the foreigner or the host.

Permanent Residence
Foreign nationals who have made significant contributions to China's economic and social development or who meet other conditions for permanent residence within China may apply for permanent residence status upon personal application and approval by the National Immigration Administration.
